Here are my two favorite robots showing off the custom rob-doodle I won from ‘Robot of the Day‘. This blog is one of my favorites that brings a simple smile to my face every day. In addition to the robo-doodle I received two nice pins, and an adorable thank you note all wrapped in an envelope with an extra doodle on it. Special thanks to Arcee and the QiaCube for helping me display my prize 🙂
I’m looking forward to more happy and creative robots on my blog roll tomorrow!
Sometimes I surprise myself. I’ve had this image in my head of one of the characters from my upcoming anthology piece. I finally got around to sketching it and, hey, its not half bad! Find out more about the paranormal / horror tale that includes this little beauty on my Authoring Blog
Wired Science put up a fun gallery of wished for hybrid animals sketched by the Science Illustration program at CSU, Monterey Bay. Fun stuff!
I haven’t put up any of my own ‘art’ in a while so here’s a little something, I wish I were a better artist and could represent the idea better. I hope you can see how the creature is freed from its cage, but still conforms to the confined shape it was held in. The door is open but it lingers near the only thing it knows.
I have an odd habit, ok more than one. I have a menagerie of fictitious creatures roaming around my head. I like to doodle them and sketch them out, but eventually I get tired of the details and compress them down to tribal symbols that I can sketch quickly to represent the idea of the thing without drawing it fully.
Anyhow, this is the Raven symbol based off of the creature shown here.
Hope you like it.
I’ve been putting up a lot of links lately. Its time I put up something original. Here’s a doodle of a character I devised for a co-operative writing game (RPG). His ‘super power’ was that his body would evolve in response to any injury. His first injury after gaining his powers was to have his arm cut, so his body grew a Zerg-esque claw from that site in response.
