Mothra Attacks! – Wallpaper

Who doesn’t want more Mothra?  I love macro shots and this is a great one of a moth in flight.  I love the detail that can be seen in the head and eyes.  Originally posted on the National Geographic website, and I think the photographer has a site here.

Iceberg vs Boat – Wallpaper

Epic Iceberg.

I told you I was going to continue posting wallpapers.  This came out of National Geographic’s photo contest.  The stark contrast between the overpowering iceberg and the small boat reminds me of how small I really am in the universe.  Oddly enough, that makes me happy, because I know the  creator of that massive universe knows and loves me, and has his eye on me.

Lonely Butterfly – Wallpaper

As described in the image this desktop background comes from National Geographic.  I love the warm colors and the contrast between the dying plant and the butterfly/moth.  It makes the whole image feel mournful and dramatic.

13 yo Inventor Protects Herd from Lions

A great story on National Geographic on Richard Turere and his invention to protect his families herd from Lions.  His idea caught on in his community and has been picked up by conservation groups aiming to protect the big cats by keeping them out of trouble.

A couple great Walls from NatGeo.

National geographic posted a couple great Desktop backgrounds that I like over the weekend.  Be sure to see both below:

I just love the contrast here and the composition.  Not only is there contrast in the colors of the two sets of fish, but it feels like the schools is moving so quickly, while the trevally waits patiently for his opportunity.

Another great example of the beautiful contrast in nature.  I like how the bear tree gives us a glimpse at the skeleton still hidden by those around it.

Because, Unicorns.
