I’m an Official Loser.

I’ve been Blogging for 7 months now…  Seems like its time for one of those obligatory ‘I’ve been blogging for X months now’ posts.  Here’s what I’ve achieved thanks to you:

The Breakdown:

220 posts

16 view/day

Not bad if I do say so.   I’m not in this to make money, which I’ve learned is rare among bloggers.  I just wanted a place to share my interests and find like minded folks.  I think I’ve achieved that goal and have you to thank for it.

Most Viewed Posts:

The most popular posts are never what you expect.  My watch?  Really people?  A whole internet full of philosophy and art and you want to buy a knock-off watch and over-sized leather band.

To top that off, the second most popular post is just a referral to another website that has nothing to do with me!  I’ll never understand the internet.

1. $30 Steampunk Watch

2. steampunkworkshop.com

3. About / Guest Book

Top Internal Clicks:

sepia_life_1280x1280One secret I’ve learned is that posting pretty pictures is a surefire way to trick people into your site, and once they are there … MUAHAHAHA!  The wallpapers I’ve posted have consistently garnered the most interest on the Blog and will continue to be a theme.

1. Sepia Life

2. Vintage Clock

3. Blue Fractal Tiger

Top External Clicks

Amazon.com (skeleton watch, and band)

Stupid watch again…

Most commented post – Call for Beta-Readers!

I’m so thankful to everyone who was willing to beta-read for me.  The result was the publication of my short story!  This confirms that the blogging experience has been worth it to me.  You guys rock!

Most Frequent Search Subjects:

1) Steampunk
2) Fractal / Tiger
3) Rock Wall
4) *Tie* Cheetah vs Leopard – Grad school
5) *Tie* Steampunk Watch‘I know the plans I have for you’ Wallpaper

I didn’t originally plan on devoting so much of this blog to steampunk, honest!  It just kinda happened…

Most Unusual Search Term:

‘tentacle bulging as it delivered its cargo inside her’

Post I’m most proud of:

Purple TreesCyan Worlds Inc. my role model in Imagination

Cyan Worlds will always have a special place in my heart.  Most current nerds from my generation remember Myst, and the series of sequels that followed it.  With early hints of steampunk style, daring world creation, and…

This post is my most ‘Liked’ ORIGINAL post.  Thanks guys.

Most LIKED post:
Zebra Crossing/Atheists Beware – NatGeo

The fortunate pairing of a great pic from National Geographic and an epic quote from Douglas Adams. Who knew it would be such a hit?

That’s what I’ve got folks. My second Blog is also making slow and steady progress, but is a different creature from Not-Dot and devoted to the art of writing (and getting published) and to my own creative writing. Thanks for stopping by, Liking, Reblogging, and Commenting, keep it up!
