Xchyler Publishing is a relatively new independent publishing outfit that targets new and upcoming authors in the fiction genre’s (i.e. people like me… only better). They so far have focused on fantasy, speculative, and steampunk fiction.
The thing that interests me the most about Xchyler Publishing is their rolling call for anthology submissions. So far they’ve published two anthologies, ‘Forged in Flame’, a dragon anthology and Mechanized Masterpieces, a steampunk anthology of which I’ve had the pleasure of being an advanced reader. The next anthology is slated to be in the paranormal sub-genre under the theme ‘Extreme-Makeover’. The deadline for this contest is May 31st, so I don’t think I’ll be submitting for that.
Following the ‘Extreme-Makover’ anthology will be a fantasy collection on the theme ‘Back to the Future’. The deadline there is August 30th, which might be just enough time for me 🙂 How to interpret ‘Back to the Future’ in light of the Fantasy genre when my mind keeps slipping back into the 80’s classic sci-fi film, I’m not sure.
… But I’ll think of something.
